Thyroid problems?
Hello everyone,
My problem is that I have had the feeling for some time that something is wrong with my thyroid.
Several years ago, I had laryngitis. During the examination, my family doctor said my thyroid appeared slightly enlarged. She couldn't find anything on the ultrasound and referred me to a radiologist. He also did an ultrasound and didn't find anything. This seemed odd to me, so I went back to a second radiologist – the same thing happened for the third time.
Now I'm sitting here feeling pressure on my thyroid. My lymph nodes are also slightly swollen. I sometimes get both of these symptoms for no apparent reason. I've also been tired for years and have trouble concentrating. I also have two cases of Hashimoto's in my family.
The three doctors I saw didn't reveal anything. I feel like a hypochondriac asking for another test, but here at home, I have the feeling something might not be quite right.
I'm a bit confused now. Could a blood test perhaps be more informative than an ultrasound, or can we assume that all three tests are reliable? Is anyone here with thyroid problems perhaps having similar experiences?
Hallöchen,
I know that! For years, I felt that doctors had not found anything right, but after many, many years, I had a Hashimoto diagnosis, which I had only received because a private doctor I had paid for himself was properly examined! Then the child had already fallen into the well
I definitely recommend that you do a blood check. This includes the determination of the values TSH, fT3, fT4 and the antibody values TPO-AK, TG-AK and TR-AK. Then it would be necessary to check in ultrasound how the tissue structure and the size of the thyroid gland are. Do you have the findings of the ultrasound investigations? Then write what’s inside. Always let the findings give, then you can better see what’s going on!
Go to the next doctor! Don’t give up and don’t let yourself be pushed into the psycho corner. We thyroid patients don’t have it easy. You may also look into the forum http://www.ht-mb.de/forum/ in.

Thanks for the answer! I don’t have any findings. Feel totally unmotivated to give me an appointment, but it won’t be better… then I’ll have to overcome myself.
