The plaster cast was not applied correctly, now what?
My son (18 years old) broke his arm the week before last. He was given a plaster cast because it was swelling. Last week he was supposed to go to the hospital's medical care center so that a proper cast could be put on. The surgeon saw that there was non-compliance and told him we shouldn't make a big fuss, it's okay as it is. He is supposed to come in in 3 weeks to have the cast removed. According to the hospital, he should wear the cast for 5 weeks from then on. Today he went to the local surgeon, but he didn't look at it either. The trainee was supposed to put the cast on without anyone normally checking. She just put a straight piece of cast (cast splint) on it without shaping it. No protection in between either. Now it would slip all over, etc. It was an accident at school. Does anyone know if I can just go back to a different surgeon?
Why doesn’t he show it to the doctor first. This tends to be relatively flotted at an appointment and assesses whether the ORdenlich looks and then you can jointly discuss what options there are.
If there was an unclean work, it may have to be controlled as the arm heals.
My son was 18 months ago. He wanted to look for a family doctor alone, but he still didn’t. Since it was a school accident, he must be a doctor
As I said, the doctor was the proposal wg, speed. He could’ve been up in the morning so that the subject isn’t days and an expert can give an opinion. It doesn’t take the option to go elsewhere.
If he doesn’t have one and so fast no one finds the option then stop not available.
Hello,
In my youth I had many gypsum rails, and I am therefore an expert. I’d go to another surgeon if it had to be to the hospital. I had a gypsum rail for 8 weeks, with protection, and cotton. Without cotton, it scratches and itches totally.
Alternatively, your pediatrician can make a protection. My Damaliger placed a protection when he looked at it.
I wish your son all the good.
Trick 17: Doctors are busy with plaster rails etc. because they do not know better. Even experienced in the Surgical University Hospital.
According to the text, a doctor has to look at it (no matter whether the warning of plasters has or not), and mostly are not qualified doctors since I had the “happy” assistance doctors to catch 1st year…
It’s easy to mecker about doctors, but you have to cover in the whole study, plasters are only theoretically discussed if you can be lucky as a student to leave a gypsum somewhere in the rescue center. But it’s not the norm.
Of course you should be soga happy that it does the Azubi plasters, because in the end it is their area of responsibility.
to your case: go to the next surgeon and hope that his doctor helper will have more awake eyes.
If it was a school accident, you have to go to a BG doctor.
If the rail is not right, go back to the surgeon and ask.
