Plant the Ticino palm or leave it in a pot?

Hello, I live in Zurich, Switzerland, where it's mostly cloudy. I bought a small Ticino palm tree and am now unsure whether it would be better to plant it directly in the garden (with palm soil), or whether I should leave it in its own pot for 2-3 years so the roots can rest or something. Does anyone know? (P.S., our garage is downstairs in the garden; there's only about 1 meter of soil before the concrete…)

The Ticino palm (hemp palm species) is very robust. With winter protection, especially the root area, it thrives all year round in Zurich and further north.

You can plant it directly into the earth when it acclimates. I doubt whether it is satisfied with 1 meter depth in duration. Maybe she’s looking for her way with good care.

Anyway, she likes “open earth” rather than pot.
