Tesla USB stick loose connection just a software problem?

The USB stick on which the dashcam and Sentry Mode recordings are recorded has an annoying loose connection after I transferred the recordings to my MacBook.

After plugging it into the vehicle, the stick is recognized, but after 1-5 minutes the message always appears that no storage medium is recognized.

After plugging and unplugging the drive for a week, I quickly formatted it this morning in the car while it was recognized. It's remained recognized ever since.

Could it be that using the drive on a Mac device caused incorrect formatting or something else, which is why the error disappeared after formatting it in the car? Apparently, this also happens from time to time with storage devices that switch between Windows and Apple.

I only had the stick in my Mac as a storage device and hadn't actually changed the folder structure. Still, I'm surprised.

Is that possible or is it just a coincidence and I should still have the cables checked?

The car is a 2022 Tesla Model 3 Performance.

macOS writes hidden files on each storage medium. Maybe it confused the Tesla.

I process my disks with CleanMyDrive, which helps before being used in other devices. https://apps.apple.com/de/app/cleanmydrive-2/id523620159?mt=12

that with a wobble contact can be quite. The contact strips on the stick or the socket are sometimes very flat and sometimes have no correct contact. It also happens that one is folded together. The latter is easily recognizable.
If they are too flat, you can gently lift them with a fine needle and as centrally as possible. But be careful if they are too arched, folding can happen quickly. If you carefully insert the stick, you will notice when the resistance gets too big.

In a wobble contact, damage to the file system (formatting) can occur. This has hardly anything to do with the operating system, because a typing error is not to be avoided when the power supply fails.
In the MAC with a unixoidal operating system I would have more confidence.

Real mistakes don't disappear again.
Operating systems keep a lot of data in the RAM. If reading errors of metadata (which are also information about the directories) have already occurred, they also indicate the garbage that has been created. Data not available on the stick.

You mention cables. of course they can also produce such excavators.
Here you can only locate the problem step by step.

Cut the stick off clean before pulling it off

Then it's bad luck. Things are cheap mass-produced goods.
