I've had Telegram for a while, and a few days ago, I noticed that my son was also on Telegram. This surprised me because he's very young and it doesn't really make sense. Besides, it was very late, and he was asleep. The next morning, I asked if he had signed up and checked his phone with him. There was no Telegram.
The next day, the message came back, this time saying a friend had joined the network. I asked him directly if he had re-registered with the messenger, to which he replied: No, I did that years ago and quit at least two years ago.
