Teen Wolf – why 2 5th seasons?

The confusion about the “two 5th seasons” of Teen Wolf is probably due to the fact that the fifth season of the series was divided into two parts. This practice is not unusual for TV series, especially for longer seasons.

The fifth season of Teen Wolf consists of 20 episodes divided into two blocks:

• Staffel 5A: Episodes 1-10
• Staffel 5B: Episodes 11-20

These two blocks were often emitted separately and can therefore be perceived as “two 5th seasons”.

If you Teen Wolf look at Amazon and find both parts of the fifth season there, but only the first half (i.e. Staffel 5A) is available on Paramount+, this could be due to licensing or availability problems.
