Tax return voluntary?

Quick question, I have voluntarily filed a tax return for the last three years.

Question:1 Am I required to take one this year?

Question:2 How long do I have? ..until August 31st or, even though I did one last year, until sometime next year?

Thanks in advance ๐Ÿ™‚

Whether you are declared as a deductor to make an income tax statement, it follows from Section 46 Income Tax Act. Only because you have issued a tax return in the previous years does this not result in a tax liability for the coming years.

The basic obligation to issue the tax return according to ยง46 EStG is as follows:

  • Benefits over โ‚ฌ410 (parent money, short-time work, sick pay etc.)
  • Job in tax class 6
  • Precautionary allowance higher than actual values โ€‹โ€‹(Occupied people like to tap into this case
  • If tax class combination 3/5 and both pay received
  • If allowances are entered in the ElStAM
  • if you have applied so-called fifth rule (recovery)
  • When marriage ends and a new one is concluded in the same year
  • there is a loss report
  • capital income without tax deduction
  • There is a call from the tax office

If there is no obligation, you will have time 4 years after the end of the calendar year.
