Tax return processing time?

Dear community, my tax return has been with the tax office for over two months. Is there anything I can do to speed up its processing? Over two months seems like an extremely long time to process it. I already submitted it on January 23rd.

Explanations for 2022 have been available since March 27th to be edited! (Imagine: even the tax office needs updates! Note: Corporate tax declarations cannot be submitted yet (form is available!), as the financial management releases the electronic module only MIDDLE May).

at "my" financial offices (with whom I regularly have to do) are processing times of 3 months NORMAL (and the 3 months in the case not from receipt, but from POSSIBILITY of processing, as at the end of March)

This can depend on so many factors, especially that the previous year's programs are not released until the end of March, so that no 2022 can be notified beforehand.

The wish that every explanation after 3 weeks has been spelling a decision has been ubiquitous for years, but is so utopian.

For the first time, you have to be restarted and this is not fully automatic. That's the same as a move. Because special features such as a declared work room or a double budget management can also lead to a situation that lasts longer.

The same is true if the treatment by the sick person is currently hardly possible, because you have to wait and do not have a handle against it, that is just the case. Also, it should not be forgotten that, due to short-time work in 2022 and 2021, a lot of people have slipped into the levies obligation, which leads to considerably more labor costs with almost every tax office.

It doesn't matter if you use Elster.de, TaxFix or your program. Only paper imprints make a difference, these must first be digitized (scanned).

If you haven't heard anything after 6 months, you can file an objection for inactivity.

PS:

Money from a refund should never be planned anyway, because you never know how long the claim was

I know that the first communications are not sent before the beginning of April. I've always finished my tax return for pensioners in January, and I've always been able to make it reliable in the first days of April. You can now count on it every day.

Two months is not long. I waited five months in the first Corona year.

It always depends on the size. It's still completely normal.

PatrickLassan gave you the reason. And you're not alone.

If it is the tax return for 2022, these declarations have only been processed since the beginning of March 2023, since the processing programs have only been released.

That was new to me.
