Tavor contains the active ingredient lorazepam and is a medicament from the group of benzodiazepines, which is used primarily as an anxious sedative. Lorazepam also has a sleek and anti-epileptic action.

Benzodiazepines are the only medicines that act on the rapid anxious. Their soothing and sleek property is highly potent and they have few side effects. Due to the high dependence potential of benzodiazepines, a treatment with lorazepam should take place as short and as low dosed as possible. In practice, benzodiazepines are usually used only in spots and until another non-extending drug acts.

How timely a dependency occurs depends on different factors….

  • Personal consumer constancy: There are now people who are more susceptible to addiction diseases and those who are less.
  • Medical use Vs. Abuse: People who need to take benzodiazepines to alleviate their complaints become somewhat less addictive than those who abuse these drugs.
  • Frequency of intake: the more frequent the intake, the faster the search development.
  • Dose: The higher the dose, the faster you become dependent.

In the case of a daily indication-related application (i.e. the use as medical reasons) of a standard dose (1-2 mg lorazepam), the risk of dependence increases enormously after 4-8 weeks.

However, dependency is only part of the problem. The other is the development of tolerance. The more common and the higher doses are benzodiazepines, the faster they lose their effectiveness. In order to maintain the effect, the dose must be increased further and this leads even faster or deeper into the addiction. In the worst case, one is completely dependent on one another without having an effect. You only need the tablets to avoid developing withdrawal symptoms.

In short: benzodiazepines are indispensable emergency drugs and thus such a blessing. In the case of regular and longer use, however, the blessing becomes a curse.

I have no experience with Tavor, but with Alprazolam, which is also one of the benzodiazepines.

From my own experience I would always take it regularly, so 3x a day. But only as much as you really need, so keep the dose as low as possible.

You’re avoiding the up and down. This should then avoid unnecessary panic attacks and keep the psychic addiction to a minimum.

After about 2-3 months, I would stop and sneak out. So make an appointment in a day clinic or something.

Benzos are always a one-way street. At some point, you have to make a withdrawal.

Can you search online for “Benzos addiction danger”.

Tavor / Lorazepam has a half-life of about 10-20 hours (online research). That is, after 10-20 hours, only half of the active ingredient in the body is still.

It probably works between a few hours and a maximum of 2-3 days.

1-2 weeks of treatment are considered “relatively harmless” (online research). But that is very individual. Some people get this easy to handle (remove medications), others can easily regain benzos (and can dominate badly).

Tavor acts 30 to 45 minutes after oral/sublingual administration, the duration of action depends on the dosage and is normally 6 to 12 hours.

But since you take a tablet every 8 hours, you’re covered with the action around the clock.

You’ve got a very high dosage prescribed and should ask the prescribed doctor again how long you should take the tablets as they have a high addiction potential that can occur after 2 weeks.

It is always useful side effects to weigh.

Just sign up to the doctor on Monday.

Good improvement for you.

3 mg per day would be a very high dosage, which should not be taken over a longer period of time.

The daily dose is usually 0.5 to 2.5 mg of lorazepam, distributed over 2 to 3 single doses or as an evening single dose.
