Remove pigeon droppings from the balcony?

Hello. I have a problem. I haven't been home for two months. I came back a few days ago and found my balcony completely abused by those pesky city pigeons. I've read a lot about the topic, but my question remains: Can I remove the garbage myself, or is it too dangerous and should I report it to my landlord?

I read on Google that you can remove the mess with vinegar and a spatula. I saw this pigeon yesterday and apparently chased it away enough times that it hasn't been seen again today.

Perhaps it might be helpful to mention that I just moved in and have absolutely nothing on the balcony, including no crumbs or even leftover food.

Pigeon mist is very suitable for fertilizing plants. So you can remove it yourself, as described.

Well, I’d probably wear gloves and mouth protection for this job. But you can just throw the cot on the compost.
