Tasks on the Daniell element chemistry?
Good day dear people
I still have some work to do on the Daniell cell, and I have an exam on it tomorrow. Unfortunately, I don't understand the problems and urgently need help from someone. The Daniell cell in this experiment is constructed with a copper and zinc sheet. Between each sheet are two gels: a copper sulfate gel and a zinc sulfate gel.
I hope you understand the tasks better than I do and can help me.
Here are the tasks:
- Which oxidation or reduction reaction (partial reaction) takes place at the poles?
- What is the total redox reaction as the sum of the two polar reactions?
- Which electrode/sheet is the negative pole and which is the positive pole of the galvanic cell?
- Sketch and explain the charge transport in this galvanic cell.
- What potential difference, i.e., what voltage, can be expected between the positive and negative poles according to the redox series? The two redox pairs form the two poles.
Greetings Joel
Dann soltest du dir den Artikel zu Daniell Element in Wiki durchlesen. Der ist ziemlich kurz und es steht genau das alles drin, was du wissen willst.
