Talking to yourself?

Do you sometimes talk to yourself? When I'm planning something, even if it's a relatively complex matter, I discuss the details with myself. However, I'm fully aware of this during the self-talk. I discuss the problems I see and possible solutions and paths, essentially with myself. This helps me a lot with thinking. It works better than "just" thinking. Does anyone else experience this?

According to research, people who display high levels of conscientiousness, for example, are more likely to talk to themselves than others. Hey,

I often talk to myself; it helps me to summarize complex topics and draw my conclusions from them.

I often talk to myself because nobody has any idea what I am talking about and I usually confuse others

Yes, but I only agree with myself when I have developed a master plan…

Then I often say: "This is how WE do it…"

The memorization effect is different than if it all happens only in your mind." But it can become pathological in the long run.
