Tail lift on camper?

Why don't you see any camper vans with tail lifts? It's actually really practical to just lower it and then have a terrace. Are there perhaps trunk lids on vans that can be folded down? For example, on a box body.

Thanks for all the answers!👍

I would add to the correct answer of Siwafi: expensive, requires additional maintenance (also cost factor), the vehicle may need additional support so that it does not swing when using the stage (some €1,000 + additional weight).

In the case of 7.5-tonners with suitcases, however, I have already seen one or two lifting platforms, although never in use. However, such vehicles are rare and then usually also require large pitches which are not present everywhere.

Too high weight to drive with the car driving license or high conversion costs for stability.
