Hello, What is a panoramic head? Unlike a tilt head, can you also turn the wheel to slowly adjust the elevation and azimuth (like on astro mounts)? If so, does anyone have a tip for one that can hold a load of around 5 kg? Thanks 🙂

What is the mount on the camera tripod?
I dug out my old camera, and it has a "normal" thread on it, but my tripod has this thing. Apparently, there's no thread underneath it either. Do I need an adapter? Has anyone ever seen a connection like this?
