How can we make future generations aware of the dangers of high-level radioactive waste?

High-level radioactive waste must be safely stored for 1 million years—that is, for 30,000 human generations. What symbols can we use to alert intelligent beings (not necessarily humans) to the danger? In some cases we cannot even decipher the writings from 2000 years ago.
