Can you leave a dish like this, lentil stew with mettenden, on the stove overnight? Or, better yet, refrigerate it. I just made it a while ago.
Or is there an alternative that tastes the same?

So I put the contents of the stew on the hotplate and wait until the plate is warm. Then I turn off the plate and everything cooks itself to the residual heat and often it boils properly. Sometimes I wonder if I'm doing something wrong.
