Are there signs in Germany that specify a speed limit above the recommended speed?

Ask You often see signs that specify a maximum speed of 130, but are there also signs that specify, for example, 150 or other speeds above the recommended speed? (So only on motorways and main roads where the speed limit applies.)

Why do politicians want a speed limit of 130 km/h when the recommended speed is already 130 km/h?

I don't understand why politicians want a general speed limit of 130 km/h. The speed limit is already 130 km/h, so you should be allowed to drive that speed limit, right? Where am I wrong? The maximum speed limit is already prescribed, isn't it? Or is it just a maximum speed limit for fuel-efficient driving?
