Were there “fights” or clashes between the Wehrmacht and the SS?
Couldn't this have led to a kind of civil war? (e.g., the Staufenberg assassination attempt if things had turned out differently)

I always thought the SS was for completely different purposes, attacking innocent civilians for racial cleansing (not in the war on the front, that's what the Wehrmacht was there for, right?)
