White liquid, mucus in the jar?
We canned tomatoes a few days ago. This isn't the case with any of the other jars, but this one has a white cloudiness. What is it? Is it still edible?

I pickled beets (a broth with 1/3 vinegar), and after 9 months, the inside of the lid looked like this. There are bubbles in the plastic itself, no external mold. What happened, and how can this be prevented? The beets tasted okay.
Hey, I bought some pickled garlic yesterday. I ate it, and it was quite strong, which I find a shame. My question is, can I transfer it to another container and can I re-pickle it? (If so, with what?) Thanks in advance.
