Adhesive bridge and temporary splint?

Since I'm having my upper incisor extracted soon, I have a question: which of the two comes first? How does that work? I'll be getting both an adhesive bridge and a temporary splint. When will each be used? I wasn't quite sure and wanted to ask in advance. 🙂 Thank you in advance!
