HWID spoofer?

I just want a quick answer: Can someone tell me if the free SecHex HWID spoofer ( https://github.com/SecHex/SecHex-Spoofy ) is safe/virus-free? I mean, it's open source, and I haven't heard anything bad about it online, but can someone who knows about this kind of thing tell me if it's safe? Thanks in advance.
