Synology Deep Learning NVR1622? Surveillance camera?
Good days,
Can anyone tell me if the Synology Deep Learning NVR1622 also supports cameras with 4K or higher resolutions? According to the internet, this is stated.
We recommend installing cameras that support Full HD resolution (1920×1080) and 20 FPS (frames per second) or higher.
Since I am currently considering whether I should buy a Synology Deep Learning NVR1622 and use it to store my images and run the surveillance cameras
or
Should I buy another Synology hard drive for storing pictures, a cheaper one :D, and also buy a surveillance camera with a recorder.
Yes, the Synology Deep Learning NVR1622 supports cameras with higher resolutions, including 4K. The recommendation for full HD with 20 FPS refers to the recommended minimum requirements for good performance. You can also use 4K cameras as long as the network bandwidth and hard drive are sufficient to process this data.
Whether you choose a separate camera with a recorder or the NVR1622 system depends on your requirements: The NVR1622 provides a central solution for storage and deep learning, offering advantages in automation and analysis. However, if you only want to save pictures, a cheaper Synology NAS + external camera recorder system could be cheaper.
