Swollen lymph nodes. Effect on the ear?

Hello, I really need your help.

Last week I had a sore throat and had to take antibiotics. It's gone now and everything's working again. However, the doctor found that my lymph nodes are also inflamed.

The following problem: since Saturday my ear feels as if I have water in it or I am holding it shut, slight pressure, no pain and I can hardly hear, which is extremely irritating to me.

I have my practical exam for my training on Wednesday. Does anyone have any idea what this could be and how I could get rid of it or what it could be.
