I'm currently getting my driver's license (manual manual). My application has already arrived, and I've already passed the theory test. Do you think I can still switch from a manual manual license to the B197 license? Unfortunately, the receptionist who takes care of everything at my driving school is always incredibly unfriendly, so I'm asking here first. 🙂

So it should be possible to change in training definitely. The driving instructor of my wife has just recommended it to her (following the theory and the 6th driving hour) because she is doing something difficult with the circuit.
However, what I have not yet found out is whether the “buying” goes over the driving school or has to be done again at the KFZ authorities, and how much the costs are for it.
I also assume that the hours already spent in the switching car are also counted for the B197 and do not have to be repaid. But I still want to confirm this from the driving school before we decide.

I’ve had hours of trucks, they’ll be done at b197 anyway. I barely limit myself because I do not intend to make a different driver’s license and with the b197 I can drive both switch and automatic up to 3500kg permissible total mass.

Today you want to make it as easy as possible. It’s easy to learn. Do the normal B-ticket, at least you learn to drive the car. You can always drive an automatic. But imagine you only learn automatic and then you have to drive a truck because of the company. Then you’re like a fucking idiot.
