Switch back to the pill (and your experiences)?
Hey,
I wanted to ask if it's possible to switch from the mini pill to the micro pill. I started with Asumate 30 at the very beginning, but then switched pills for certain reasons, and my gynecologist prescribed me desogestrel aristo.
I did a bit of research and don't know what to think about the mini pill, since it can, for example, cause irregular periods… I mean, I know both have their pros and cons, but with the micro pill, I feel like I have a better overview of everything. I haven't taken the new mini pill yet, but I'm pretty scared of it.
So I wanted to ask about your experiences with the asumate 30 and desogestrel aristo and which you prefer, because from my current point of view I prefer the micro pill and the change is really messing me up with worry and if I should change my mind whether I can switch to my old pill (the asumate or maybe another micro pill).
It would be really nice if you shared your experiences with me, as I'm 17 and haven't had much experience with it, and I'm already scared of the change…
It would be good to know what the “determined reasons” are. Because only the pure consideration to change the pill does not make side effects and discomfort away.
Happy for you!
If no medical reasons speak against the micropille (and assumate is a safe first pill) then this is preferable due to the better cycle stability and higher safety. Why change to the mini pill?
