Superpowers for trios?

I recently wanted to write a short story and thought a trio would be interesting. However, when I decided to give everyone superpowers, I somehow hit a wall.

I thought something like the "Fates" from mythology would be cool. But I wanted the story to take place in a more modern video game world.

One of the trio is supposed to be able to heal and cast spells like a witch. The second member of the trio is supposed to be a really good fighter. However, "really good fighter" isn't really a superpower, and I need something else to make it feel complete.
After that, figure 3 is still missing…

What do you think would be superpowers for a trio? Sure, there's strength, speed, and flying or something like that. But do you have any ideas for something more exotic?

I used to split it up into magicians, swordfighters and weaponsless fighters.

General perhaps:

– Magicians

– Can handle tools of all kinds perfectly from nature (weapons are also tools, so can also fight)

– Has perfect body control (very sporty, can climb great, is very fast, very skillful, good dancer, and of course also very good in martial sports of any kind)

Of course, if you don’t have to be perfect in things, it’s enough.

Maybe one can also be an android or something, and would be a great hacker, etc…

It will only be interesting if the superpowers become retraceful.
Fire and ice – you have to watch what you do not endanger others.

There are always only 2 who oppose each other and not 3 who influence each other like stone/shere/paper πŸ™‚

I find it depends on what world/time it plays and how the story is. I also find a balance important – it must not make it almighty and must have unpleasant aspects for the protagonist.

  • Anyone who has negative in mind to the prot. suffers burns. The more negative intentions / feelings, the stronger the burns. That’s why he always has to pay attention to who touches him. Ggf burns the person himself.
  • The look is like a lunatic – who sees the prot in his eyes loses in it. If you look too long, you lose your mind. But you can only look away with very great willpower. A sunglasses helps little. That’s why the prot must always wear a mask that makes him blind.
  • The tattoos awaken to life and can leave the body. For example, tattoos of swords that can be pulled out of the skin. Or tattooed wings that can be detached from the skin and become real.

It could also be skills that complement each other.

  • Influence on nature – one can control fire, an earth, an air.
  • Influence on time – one can see into the future, one in the past, one can see what happens elsewhere in the present.
  • Influence on people – one can read/control thoughts, a feeling, one the soul.

The skills could be associated with a task.

  • You can see spirits, feel where someone dies and/or guide souls to death or judge them.
