Suitable email hosting provider?

Hello dear IT community,

I know the question in the title sounds relatively simple at first, because there are thousands of providers offering this kind of thing. From Strato to OVH to Hosted Microsoft Exchange, blah blah, the list is long.

My real problem is that the provider has to meet the following criteria… and unfortunately I can't find a suitable one and I hope that you have perhaps found one or are even using one that meets (almost) all of them.

• The domain may be hosted externally
• No name servers need to be changed, only DNS records need to be added
• Especially because of GDPR, the emails should/must be stored in the EU, so please nothing from the USA
• No or high mailbox limit
• SMTP(s) Auth Access
• Doesn't cost a fortune (small startup, limited budget)

What would be really cool optionally:

• Adding multiple domains
• Shared storage across all mailboxes

The background to all this nonsense is: I have a GbR (public limited company) that offers various small web services. I have several domains for which I would like to centrally manage all the mailboxes. However, most of the mailboxes are used exclusively for sending automated/system emails (ticket system, password resets, etc.). Therefore, I don't want to change the name servers, as they are hosted by CloudFlare, and I'm extremely happy with them.

Hopefully someone knows a suitable provider. I've already tried the following two:

• Microsoft 365 Business (directly from Microsoft): Everything is great, but unfortunately I would have to create a user including a license for each mailbox, which is very expensive
• one.com: Unfortunately, only one domain can be managed per package, the rest is great

At the moment, Strato's "E-MAIL Business" package sounds interesting. However, I'm not sure if they only accept internal domains. I've also looked into OVH and Hostinger, but they don't seem to be a good fit.
