I'm looking for an anime in which someone can control the elements. As far as I know, he was the last shaman. I believe he could only control the elements through others. He could see spirits and had to defeat pure evil, which grew from evil people. At the end, I believe the pure evil took the form of a giant lion.

Das ganze Böse Zeug passt. Sorey ist wohl kein Schamane sondern ein Schäfer/Hirte, aber er hat auch Geisterfreunde mit Elementarfähigkeiten (Die Seraphime).
Hauptgrund weshalb ich aber an Zestiria denke ist der Antagonist Heldalf, welcher schon als Löwenähnlich angesehen werden kann
