Sub and top connected to one amplifier?

Greetings, I would like to build myself a small PA system.
I plan to use a subwoofer and a head unit initially. I wanted to drive the two speakers with the Behringer CX2310 Super X Pro V2 crossover and the t.amp E-1200 amplifier.

Now the question arises whether I can connect the two speakers together to one amplifier and how I would then have to connect the crossover?

So far I have only seen one video (explaining the wiring) where one amp was used for subs and one amp for the tops.

And by the way, my head unit only has 400 watts RMS power at 8 ohms, but the amplifier has 800 watts at 8 ohms. Am I going to mess up my head unit? Or can I adjust the amplifier on the front of the bike so that only 400 watts are output?

Many thanks for answers!

The performances are usually indicated with 4 ohms. the amp is with 2 x 1200 watts on 4 or 2 x 800 Watt on 8 Ohm too big. The setup is then mono?

At the active switch you have to look where is separated. Mostly at about 80-120 Hertz to the top

Then proceeding from the CX 2310:

From the Mixer Out into the signal input of the active switch.

Then there is a low out of the CX 2310 to the Amp In for the Sub. Set the separating frequency. Then Speakon cable from Amp to Sub.

High out on the CX 2310 then only for high or mid, because this top probably has an internal switch in the box at 12″ + high tone & you don’t have 3 way active, but separate 2 way.

Then again with Speakon from the Amp to the Box.
