Study at a university of applied sciences without a high school diploma?

Hello dear community,

I wanted to ask if it would be possible to study social work at a university of applied sciences with a completed educator training? (Berlin)

This depends on the HS and the degree programme, so look.

By the way, you can take off. Vocational training in one year of full-time school Make HS ripening. There are still “tricks” if that’s not enough: https://www.suedkurier.de/ueberregional/rundblick/studies-can-man-mit-fachabitur- Lehramt-studieren-21-09-2023;art1373253,11725090 (also available for various other courses).

This depends on the respective federal state. Often you have to go to school for another year (e.g. Fachoberschule).

You’d have to have a professional training. You can study at any school. Universities only take offshore.

I don’t know what country you’re coming from. Here in Hamburg you either have to do the SPA training beforehand and then have your specialist training course for the educator training or, after the Abitur/Fachabi, you can go directly into the training course with a previous 4 months internship.

You need to acquire the professional qualification. This is usually done at a Fachoberschule after a completed training. There you have to successfully complete the class FOS12 to get the professional training
