Study abroad year in the USA?
Hello, I'm 15 years old and currently in the tenth grade at a high school (Realschule). I've been interested in spending a year abroad in the USA for a while, but I don't know how to organize everything. How should I approach/organize the whole thing? Do I need a certain school qualification/grade point average? What's the best organization for something like this? What are the costs for a year, and what are the general requirements for participating in a year abroad? I also want to know what I have to do when I return to Germany. So, what do I do next, school-wise?

Organizations like AFS or YFU help you plan and the whole costs between 8,000 and 15,000 euros depending on the program. After your return to Germany, you can either get back to your old class or go straight to the top level, depending on the school rules. Don't worry, the organizations will give you tips!
