In your studies, you can decide how much courses you take per semester and how much exams or other exams you take. As a rough target (resulting from the workload) you should start planning about 6 events per semester.

This always depends on the respective degree program and the respective faculty. The latter can also specify minor examinations per semester or period of study.

The whole system is relatively complex. Basically, however, it is based on creditpoints, which should ideally be completed in a certain number per semester.

If you are planning a study, you will first find a university or Faculty or appropriate facility where you want to complete your degree. There you will find both the exam and the study regulations. They describe both the events you can demonstrate and the requirements you need to achieve your desired conclusion.
