Changing your course of study in the 11th semester of Civil Engineering/Architecture?

Hi, I'm studying civil engineering and have "only" 8 modules left, but they're really wearing me out, and I've noticed over the course of my studies that I enjoy the drawing side much more. Now, even though I'm already at that stage, I'm considering switching to architecture, where some modules are recognized, and my interests overlap more than in civil engineering. However, I'll probably start in the first semester because the modules build on each other, so I'll be studying for another 3 years, and I'm already 26. I'm also currently working as a student employee, and if I start again now, the financial worries in my head should start to grow.

Have you had similar experiences? Or what would you do? Finish your studies or switch?

Thanks in advance for all answers 🙂

The following possibilities are included:
1) See if there are offers for a “dual study” in the field of architecture in your area. If this is the case, try to find a company/ArchitekrutbĂĽro that will hire you. Companies that join a dual study are usually found on the page.

2) Are you working as a working student in an architectural office? If so, try to convince them if they may pay you the study. As a deal, you offer them that you continue to work with them full-time after your studies.

If the foreseeable work as a civil engineer does not give you pleasure, you should change (even if you have to start from the front). Your advanced age is not so important. The 35 years of work are crucial.

Awa. Finish Bauing first. If you like to draw, you can then simply take over the graphic part in the office for the constructional evidence.

If you like architecture better than civil engineering, you should just change to architecture. If the modules are recognized, it can only be better, right?
