Power consumption monitor?

If I connect an external monitor to my laptop, will the power consumption be lower than with a normal display?

Of course, the monitor does not run on the laptop's battery, unlike the normal one.

Now, you think the laptop’s display consumes more power than an external monitor, but I have to disappoint you.

Oh, if the laptop runs on battery, you save the power for the display.

Well 1, the monitor also uses electricity, and secondly the laptop monitor is not off.

Why would he? A laptop monitor does not just turn off when you connect an external monitor. You can adjust it, whether it’s really 100%, I don’t know.
