Strange animal screams at night, what could it be?

Hello everyone,

It's like this almost every night. Outside in the yard, some animal screams every night starting around 2:00 am The screaming sometimes sounds like barking, and it always breaks my heart because it sounds like the animal is suffering immensely. But apparently not, because it's been screaming/barking/yowling like this for about a year. WHAT COULD THIS BE? All the windows are closed, and it's still extremely loud.

My guess: a fox. They don't bark, but scream;)

From 0:28 you hear him

Maybe someone's blocking his dog on the balcony or in the garden?

Can you exclude this dog?

Do you live in the middle of the city, or are there a forest or a meadow or similar biotopes? Or else, what animals could there be with you in the area?

And what else, can you recognize any patterns from the time? Does this fit every night or regularly at certain intervals?

If there's no dog, I'd tap a fox or fox, or marten.

Here are fox loaf (they can be very loud and go through Mark and at):

If it's not, maybe a marten dog:

Fox.

At least if it's the same thing as here.
It's hard to describe.

If you live near the forest, it can be a deer. Its "bel" is a deceptively similar to that of dogs… Marder sounds more like rolling cats. Foxes are also in question…

Especially at night, it can be scary – everything seems more dramatic than the day.

So don't worry – quite normal…;)

I'm glad you're worried about animals. Peaceful Christmas I wish you!

It can be a fox or a roe.
