Does my period stop when I take the first pill?

Hello, I'm taking the pill for the first time since yesterday. I took it on the first day of my period, as my doctor instructed. It was more like spotting. But now the bleeding has stopped completely. Did I take the pill incorrectly, or is it normal for my period to stop when taking the pill?

I didn’t stop the period. It is also clear that during the period the mucous membrane of the uterus dissolves and is excreted, which cannot then suddenly simply remain in it. Maybe it wasn’t your period, it was a glow. Simply carry on the pill and additionally prevent the first 7 days (at the Qlaira 9 days).

That’s normal. And that’s exactly what the pill should do.

As long as you take the pill you don’t get a proper period, but so-called bleeding. The bleedings feel similar to the period (but are usually more harmless). And the bleedings always come in your pill break.

Hello Dilaradiebeste

If you take the first pill on the first day of the period (you have 24 hours) then protect it immediately, take it at another time then you must additionally prevent the first 7 days. At the pill Qlaira 9 days.

How the period reacts to the first pill cannot be predicted. It can become weaker or stronger, it can stop immediately or last longer.

That’s absolutely normal. The pill accuses the body of a pregnancy, which is why you do not have a period during taking.
In the pill break you have the “period” which is a kind of bleeding. And thus usually less painful and not as strong as the actual period.
