Steuerklasse 6 bei zwei Nebenjobs?
Hallo, ich habe eine Frage bzgl der Steuerklassen, ich kenne mich in dem Bereich so gut wie gar nicht aus. Ich bin Student und habe bis jetzt nebenbei Teilzeit (also nicht als Werkstudent) bei Job A gearbeitet. Ich werde nun zu einem anderen Job B wechseln und dort als Werkstudent anfangen. Job A muss ich demnächst noch kündigen, welcher eine vier wöchige Kündigungsfrist hat, d.h. ich muss dort noch mind. vier Wochen arbeiten. Gleichzeitig werde ich allerdings schon Job B anfangen mit 20h/Woche weil ich mich noch in den Semesterferien einarbeiten möchte (Minijob-Basis bei Job B mit 10h/Woche kommt leider nicht in Frage).Wie läuft das dann mit den Steuerklassen ab, muss ich dann bei Job B angeben, dass ich Steuerklasse 6 bin und ändert sich das dann nach den vier Wochen einfach und muss ich da was beantragen? Bin um ein paar Infos und Erklärungen sehr dankbar.

Yeah, that’s right.
For each employer, you have to specify whether you have another job.
Explain your new employer.
Then you will stay for one month with your new employer on wage tax class VI and with the other on I.
After the termination, you will be transferred to your new employer automatically to the wage tax class I.
Check it best for your payrolls. You have a right to this! Make sure to get them! In a normal shop, you don’t have to ask.
Basically, it doesn’t matter anyway. For either at the end of the year or at the beginning of the new year 2024 you get an expression of the electronic pay tax certificate. This certificate is very important!
It says what you earned in 2023 (with an employer). Also ask your old employer this document if he doesn’t send it to you!
If you earn less than 10.908€ gross, you will get all the pay tax back.
Make a simplified pay tax declaration and only provide the contents of the expression of the electronic pay tax certificate in Appendix N. (gross services, wages, employers and social security contributions). That’s all.
Then you will get back all the wage tax that is retained at once. Can be a nice little bitch 🙂
Note: Those who do not make a pay tax statement as employees are a fool.
