Sterilize female rabbits at 7?

Good day,

My female rabbit had a tumor removed around 2021 and since then she has been in heat from time to time.

Now, since the beginning of 2024, she's been constantly in a hot mood. She's squirting everywhere and acting more irritated towards her partner.

She's not building a nest, etc., so she's not experiencing a false pregnancy. She has the entire apartment to romp around in. I don't even have a cage, just huts for hiding, which they don't even use. She's eating and is active.

Rodicare Pregno / Hormeel / calming sprays have all failed. While one doctor recommends sterilization, another is against it… what should I do?

Keep in mind that constant heat changes the uterus. This can also look bad…

I would talk to a vet who specializes in rabbits about it again and have her neutered .

I would DEFINITELY take her to a very knowledgeable vet! But she can still handle it well at her age (but it has to be done by a professional).

Sterilization would be of no use as only the fallopian tubes would be severed

if so castrate
