Sterilize baby bottles?

How long can I store sterilized bottles and pacifiers? Is there any benefit to sterilizing the bottles before birth?

In general, you should think more about the sterilization method or the sterilizing agent.

A natural method to sterilize things is to put them in hot water.

And that breastfeeding provides the child with natural protection against disease. Additionally, the breast even provides a bacterial flora for the stomach.

Your question implies that you either want to pump or feed your child with baby milk, which is often based on cow's milk.

I would advise against it. Unless you're in public or your husband is taking care of the child, I don't see it as beneficial at all.

The female breast even interacts with the child, adjusting the milk and nutrients or even immune cells as needed!

It depends on whether the bottle has been used before, where it is located and at what temperatures.

Above a certain Aw value, bacteria cannot spread either way (by that I mean when they are completely dry, since at least there is no division rate – which does not mean that they are germ-free).

And even the best sterilization won't help if a biofilm remains.

Back then, we never sterilized baby bottles, etc. We just made sure they were clean.

So I would sterilize it.
