Does my boss like me?
I have been working at the company for about 2 years, to begin with my relationship with my boss was rather cool, but for about six months I have noticed that things have changed. After a sick leave he said it was great to be back… then he kept complimenting me like I was a self-confident, competent woman… I found this very nice. In team discussions he absolutely supports me and praises me, ignoring the others. Recently he came to my office, sat down right next to me and asked if I smelled as good here. Then the same scene only with the sentence had I changed anything about myself, did I look different, did I wear make-up? Other colleagues asked him about the preferential treatment and he said he took note of it.

I’m a male and I know almost the same of the boss as you described. I found it very unpleasant but wait until someone new comes you’re the last shit in the company. That’s why I’m looking for a new job. I just advise you to change the place when someone comes new and he does it with her/he isn’t worth it anymore and are treated really dirty by him.

Whether he really wants something from you, you should remember yourself.You don’t know if he’s generally so “friendly” to good employees or really only to you.
