I’ll never go by bus or train, but I’d definitely get up. I still know about my grandma. They’re incredibly happy when they can sit down. For longer trips, they can’t stand even if they wanted. They’re not really good at it.

I live in a small town, you reach everything on foot or I drive by car. If I’m in another city and drive bus/rail, I’d get up if the person would ask me, but this has never happened before

If I have the nearest seat, yes. Otherwise, I would expect that from the corresponding person. If she doesn’t, I’ll get up.
