There is no number in the air ticket. The ticket is assigned to the flight. In the reservation is the flight number.

You will only hand off the baggage, where you will also receive a boarding card on which the departure gate is specified. Always keep an eye on ads/advertisements because of changes!

Hello.

I just see you’re flying with the LH: just check in on the previous day (from 23h before). Leave baggage (where stands on the generated boarding card, but is actually not overseeable at the LH). You don’t have to print, that can also make the staff at the switch or you can do at the machine on site. Eighth local changes; the gate is on the board card.

Don’t panic! The flight number is always on the ticket and does not change. You have entered into a transport contract. If deviations occur, the airline must inform you. At the airport, the plane of departure is on the display panels for which flight which switch is responsible for the baggage delivery. You will be told where the gate is, etc. The flight number always remains the same (even if the airlines so-called. perform code sharing so that, for example, a Lufthansa flight can also have a flight number from another airline at the same time, but the aircraft is the same). If you have never done it alone before, take a little more time before departure; even if it is not necessary, it may help against nervousness… 🙂

The ticket includes flight number, ticket number and booking code.

That’s what it looks like. in this way (at LH, other airlines can look a bit different, but the principle is the same):

Ticket details & travel information

Ticket No.: 220-2343923456You Booking code: 4OJK29

MUELLER-LUEDENSCHEID / FRANZ MR

Sunday, 11.05.2014 Vienna Frankfurt/Main

LH 1237 13:10 Vienna Intl. 14:40 Frankfurt/Main Intl.
EconomyTerminal: Check-in Area 3, Counter: Bag Drop no. 332 – 361

You need to distinguish this data from the boarding card, where you will eventually be shown gate and seat. The boarding pass is only available at check-in (online at the local computer or on site at a switch). She looks like this.

Name: Mueller-Luedenscheid, Franz
Flight no.: LH1234 Flight: FRA-VIE Date: 08MAY14
Boarding: 08:20 Gate: A01 Seat: 18F
Class: Economy BN: 42 Status:
Baggage drop off: Terminal 1, Gepaeckautomat no later than 08:10
Booking code: 4OJK29
Etix: 2202343923456

ETIX is an electronic ticket and the boarding card can be sent directly to your phone. Then all changes of time and gate are displayed there.

You can place the baggage on every baggage switch of your airline: place the case on the scale, place the board card on the scanner and the machine prints the baggage strip. You can attach it to the suitcase and the document with the ID number.

Only after that, security goes to the gate. The gate is once on the boarding map and is additionally displayed on the information boards.

You can also contact your airline only at the airport. The terminals include the airlines with associated switch numbers. In case of doubt, just ask an airline or airport employee.
