Steam; What if I already own a game?

Hello,

What happens if I have a game on DVD or CD (i.e. I already own it) and download the game via Steam and unlock it with the existing serial?

Is something like that possible?

I expect the latest version, including patches, is usually available on Steam. That would make installing easier for me.

First of all. You are not the owner of the game, that is the manufacturer. You just have one License purchased to play the game. The manufacturer may give you this license at any time without giving reasons.

If you buy games on CD/DVD, you need to connect them to your account via Steam with the code so that you can shock them at all. It’s not different.

Games that do not need Steam to run and that you already have can add it to your list as a Steam strange game.

Sorry. I forgot to write that. As has already been written by the user Maikimus (thanks to it).

Steam you add strange games by adding games to the top of the Steam window and then adding to “Steam Alien Game of my Library …”.

Then a window opens where after loading all games and programs are listed. You’re looking for your game, hitting it with a click and click on “Add Selected Programs”

Moin you would have to look at the back of the games package or open the CD box and there should be a note with a key on it that are numbers and letters. Then you go to Steam and press the bottom left on the plus and then press a product on Steam, where you enter the key.
Hope I could help.

Unfortunately, I don’t know anymore, but you still have a lot of success while trying and a nice evening.

Try to get the game as key on key pages there it is usually cheaper than elsewhere and then activate it on Steam, then you bought the game twice, but then you have it on Steam . I would recommend looking at MMoga how expensive it is there.
