It’s possible, but Steam is actively opposed. If you find a game suspicious, you can report it and pass it to check.

Steam has a massive interest in that that never happens. Accordingly, they will do whatever is in your power that never happens.

However, PCs do not have anything like impossible. Each PC with an Internet connection can be attacked and infected by hackers.

The chance that is a false alarm is about 20 times higher than that is a virus.

But for viruses, Paranoia is a good guide. Sign on to Steam via support. Only in case that’s true.

It’s possible, however, it’s probably unlikely that there’s hardly any virus.

Valve is constantly working against it and is also good at it. However, it can happen that there is a game through which a virus contains. However, these opportunities are low. I had two alarms in the 10 years I actively used Steam. However, it turned out to be false alarms. Is one of the reasons why I don’t use antivirus programs anymore.

With the program -Kaspersky Internet Security you can have your computer examined for fours.

There are also other programs with which this is possible, see Internet.

Yeah, but that’s very unlikely.

When you wanted to start the game or how? And can you happen to say (approximately) what the warning was? A firewall usually warns less about viruses.

you could hide it, but as soon as I know they’ll check it out again when you uploaded it.

Everything is possible, but that does not mean that steam now proves the surface Earth

There are some games (extremely naughty indie titles) which, due to unclean programming, tend to trigger virus programs. In most cases, a look at the support forums of the title on Steam and uncertainty helps to clarify.
