I'm about to reset my phone to factory settings because of some very persistent malware.
I was told to log out of my Google account.
But what about the mobile authenticator? Do I have to log out of it somehow, or can I reset it and get the Steam Guard code again using my SIM card?

You always have the opportunity to remove the Mobile Authenticator from your recovery code or even the Steam support.
It is much easier to log it off now (with access to the valid Authenticator).

I have just reset and after all set the app from the store again. When registering, the mobile code is queried, which one cannot specify.There was an option to get a sms code on the nummber of the authenticator and then enter it.
all in all there was no trade ban.
