State support for my wife?
Hi guys,
I have lived outside the EU for the last five years for work, got married, became a father and now want to return home.
My wife does not have German citizenship but would of course get a residence permit since we are married.
It will probably take a while until she learns German properly. Does anyone know if and what kind of support she can apply for, eg could she apply for unemployment benefits?
Anyone who has not paid into the unemployment insurance fund is not entitled to unemployment benefits.
No.
You are obliged to support your wife.
Of course, my question was about government subsidies.
Which subsidies? For what?
Are you unable to meet your maintenance obligations?
There's no unemployment benefit. She never paid into this insurance.
First and foremost, you are obliged to support your wife.
Depending on her country of origin, your wife may only receive a temporary suspension of deportation. You may be able to apply for German citizenship for the child.
Depending on your wife's country of origin, the marriage must also be confirmed in Germany.
You can certainly ask the office about language courses and integration assistance.
There's probably no money – you can apply for child benefit for the child.
Child has citizenship and woman would get it after three years in Germany.
your wife can claim citizen's allowance she is entitled to
Wrong. First of all, there is a community of need. If the man earns enough, the woman doesn't get any money either.
No, job centers MUST pay, that's in the constitution
No, only if the man hardly earns anything
Most people in Germany earn enough and do not need state support.
But you usually don't earn enough, so you get citizen's income, which is stated in the constitution
Why? As long as her husband earns enough, maintenance is guaranteed.
OK, should the woman die?
That's not true and you know it, little provocateur.
