Start dancing at 15? If so, which one is recommended?

Hey,

I'm 15 years old and would like to start dancing. I don't care what kind of dance I want. Whether it's ballet, Latin, or couple dancing…

And could I still achieve something with that? So, assuming I were to train six days a week, could I still reach the top?

Best regards and thanks in advance for your answers.

Hello!

Yes, of course you can start with 15 years! I recommend Hip Hop, Jazz Dance, Modern Jazz, Ballet or Contemporary.

Most start before (which want to make it professional) because you are more distracted and just had more time to practice. But if it's your wish then believe in it, go to class, dance often and often. If you can do it then I don't know but just try it!

I personally started with 4 ballet. And I'm good, I have leadership positions on performances, etc. But as a primary ballerina, I'd be too bad. A friend of mine started at 16, is now 18 and better than me.

Conclusion: Yes you can do this!

Hello! First of all, if you've become better, you can apply to an academy! LG and hope I could help!

If you really want it and your parents agree, I would start at a school and later (after 1 year if you were gifted) I would go to an "Art Academy".

Of course, there are good and bad ballet schools (well informed). Besides, it may be that you are not talented or that doesn't make you fun.
