Constant circulatory problems at 25 weeks pregnant?

Heyho!

I'm currently 25 weeks pregnant (24+6) and I'm constantly having problems with my circulation… sometimes really bad.

It started around week 20 when I couldn't stand in line at the checkout line any longer. Sometimes I had to leave my boyfriend standing and sit down somewhere. Other times, it was so bad that I had to sit down on the floor right there and then. I stayed seated for a bit, then I was fine again, and we could continue. This happened two or three times.

I've been having these problems almost daily for the past two weeks. It doesn't just happen when I'm shopping, but also at home. Even when I'm sitting! Recently, I was sitting at a table and suddenly my circulation dropped… I had to lie down.

Yesterday was particularly bad. I had breakfast and a drink in the morning, and then we went to the bakery to buy cake. We had to wait in line. Suddenly, I couldn't move at all. I started sweating, everything was spinning, and I had to sit down on the floor in the queue, otherwise I would have fainted. I had to get something to drink to get me going again…

Today, the same thing happened. I was at home and was just about to go outside. Then again: everything was spinning, I broke out in a sweat, and I had to lie down in my bedroom. Sitting down wasn't enough.

I'd like to emphasize that I eat breakfast every morning and drink plenty of fluids! So I don't think it's due to blood sugar. At least not hypoglycemia.

I don't know what the problem is or how to fix it. I'm afraid of falling over on the street or something… My boyfriend isn't always with me; he works six days a week… (I'm on a work ban.)

I have my glucose tolerance test next Monday. Maybe I do have gestational diabetes after all? But the symptoms would be totally atypical…

I know I should go to the doctor about it, and I'm doing that. My appointment is in a week. But every time it happens, there's no doctor available, and after five minutes, I feel fine again. I can still feel my baby well…

Has anyone had this experience and can give me a tip?

I didn’t have such problems, but I had a few cravings on my way.

That’s why I always had a banana in my purse, for emergencies.

Maybe it helps you with sugar.

And otherwise, it’s just helping to wait for the doctor’s appointment and not go too much out of the house until then. Especially not alone.

Then stay home if it’s not safe enough outside. 🤷
