SSD Not Allocated, what to do?
Hello there,
I've been wondering the whole time why my second, new SSD isn't recognized in the folders, but is in the BIOS.
It says online that you should right-click and select "New Simple Volume," but that's not available for me.
What must/can I do?
Thanks for your help in advance.
Greetings
Hello
First you should make a right-click, left next to disk 1 with the red cross. First to initialize the data carrier, best with the GPT. The storage capacity of the SSD is very close to the limit from which an MBR is no longer usable and a GPT becomes mandatory. That’s why take the GPT to initialize.
A partition table must first be written to the drive. No partition can be created without a partition table, as well as if the newly created partitions are to be entered into the partition table. When initializing a data carrier, a new and empty partition table is created.
After that you can partition the SSD as you have already tried with the “new simple volume”.

You need the hard drive first “initialize” Click on the left box at the top left
Then initialize to disks and then you can create a new volume ðŸ
