SSD läuft heiß?

Habe einen Medion-Tower-PC (ca. 3 Jahre alt).

Seit einigen Tagen läuft die eingebaute SSD (C: – System-Disk – ‘E12-512G-PHISON-SSD-B3-BB1 512,1 GB’ innerhalb weniger Minuten heiß (> 70 Grad Celsius) trotz offenem Gehäuses; habe jetzt (ist natürlich keine Dauerlösung) einen Standventilator drauf gerichtet, Temperatur geht auf 40° – 45° runter.

Was soll ich tun?

Install passive cooling on your NVM.

This is often a problem with this construction.

In addition, Medion is not just famous for great cooling. It’s all designed to be cheap.

But as already mentioned, I do not see any reason for a SSD change. Your SSD is completely intact.

With the new one you will get the same problems when insufficiently cooled.

Basically, it works with the corresponding Cloning tools.

I like to use the free Clonezilla. However, there are also more user-friendly alternatives.

You have an NVME SSD and they can be hot. Without additional cooling, the temperatures are normal. Your SSD is intact.

From approx. 70°C the speed of the SSD rapidly drops.

Many motherboards have additional heat sinks for the NVME SSDs. If it’s missing from your SSD, you should retrofit it. For example:

GLOTRENDS M.2 radiator with M.2 heat-conducting pad for 2280 M.2 PCIe NVMe SSD or M.2 SATA SSD, PC and PS5 Installation https://amzn.eu/d/btYKmAL

A reasonable housing cooling then ensures additional temperature reduction. See if one of the housing fans is no longer working or the screen filter with the dust is added. Clean everything if necessary.

Secure data and install better ventilation.
